About SafeBite

Why I built this

I'm Alan. I built SafeBite, because as a fairly new father, I learned my son is allergic to peanuts when an anaphylactic reaction sent us to the emergency room. We were also advised, for a separate health issue, to avoid foods fortified with folic acid. I wanted one place to keep lists of foods for the little guy and share them with our loved ones and the caregivers who look after him.

This note is just the story behind the app. A list or a profile on SafeBite is never a yes or no on whether a food is safe for you.
